For the first 12 months from purchase all products are covered to the full extent. Repair or replacement will be the responsibility of Fab Supply & Co Limited. An additional 2 year warranty (a total of 3 years) is provided by Everlast Power Equipment Inc. 329 Littlefield Avenue, South San Francisco, CA USA 94090 (Everlast-USA). This additional warranty is administered and covered by the New Zealand Distributor of Everlast-USA, currently Fab Supply & Co Limited. The additional warranty only applies to new Everlast welders, plasma cutters, multi-process units, and water coolers purchased from 01/01/2024 onwards. It is provided to the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
Welder, Plasma Cutter, and Water Cooler Warranty
All new Everlast welders, Plasma cutters, multi-process units, and water coolers sold by Everlast Welders NZ shall be warranted against breakage, malfunction or failure resulting from manufacture defect for a total period of 3 (three) years following the date of shipment. Non-functioning or damaged units shall be repaired or replaced at the repair facility designated by Everlast Welders NZ. Everlast Welders NZ as its discretion, may opt to refund the purchase price (minus depreciation*).
During the first year of the warrant Everlast Welders NZ will cover all shipping costs associated with the return or replacement. In years 2 and 3, the customer will pay all the shipping costs associated with the return or replacement **.
Items such as electrodes, contact tips, nozzles, cups, shields, liners etc., considered to be consumable items are NOT under warranty except for defect in workmanship. Additionally, certain items such as torches, foot pedals, switches, cables, etc. may be individually exchanged without returning the entire unit assembly should failure with these items occur. These items are covered separately under a 6 month warranty. Everlast Welders NZ will not be responsible for time/contract loss or delay from unit failure, damages occurring from improper or unskilled operations, damages resulting from improper maintenance, improper wiring, poor quality power sources, abuse or neglect. The warranty will not cover damage caused by metal or other particles settling onto the circuitry. Especially in dirty environments, welders and plasma cutters should periodically be cleaned with compressed air. This includes preparation when the unit has not been used for some time as even non-metallic dust can be conductive if it absorbs moisture from the air. The fitting of a mains-power plug of less capacity than the original or reducing the size of the earth terminal on the plug provided will specifically void this warranty. Nor will Everlast Welders NZ assume responsibility for the customers failure to take notice of/read safety instructions, to read and understand operator’s manuals, obey occupational laws or to ensure the unit’s safe operation complies with New Zealand Law, personal injury arising from the inherent risks involved with welding or plasma cutting, including burns, electric shock or death. This warranty will not cover damage caused by using accessories not sold by or approved by Everlast Welders NZ, including, but not restricted to Foot Pedals, Plasma Torches and Spool Guns. No other warranty is expressed or implied.
*Depreciation as it applies to faulty items:
Everlast Welders NZ may, at its discretion, choose to pay out the remaining warranty instead of repairing or replacing a faulty product based on the following:
- End of Year 1, Purchase Price Less 35%
- End of Year 2, Purchase Price Less 60%
- End of Year 3, Purchase Price Less 80%
Everlast Welders NZ will cover the freight cost both ways in year 1 to the extent of the rates published on the Everlast Welders NZ website. If the customer is in a remote area, the customer agrees to pay any freight costs over and above the published rates. After Year 1 the customer agrees to pay all freight and insurance costs. The customer shall be responsible for any damage due to faulty packaging.
Everlast Welders NZ agrees to make all freight arrangements if requested, and to pass on all benefits of its commercial freight arrangements.
Torch and accessory warranty:
Torches, guns, foot pedals, and cables supplied with a welder or plasma cutter or brought separately from Fab Supply & Co Ltd or Everlast Welders NZ are warranted under a separate warranty for a period of 6 (six) months following the date of purchase against manufacturing defects. No warranty is expressed or implied in regards to the fitness of the product for any particular application or use. Damages or malfunctions related to abuse, misuse, burns, and any condition or issue arising from improper maintenance or use are not covered under the warranty. Damage to water-cooled torches used without water/coolant shall not be covered under warranty. Damage arising from the use of plasma torches without an additional external filter/dryer, in addition to the water trap provided with the unit shall not be covered.
Consumables and torch guides shall not be warranted other than to be free from manufacturing defects at time of delivery. They are warranted against wear or damage resulting from use.
Balance of Time:
Any warranty replacement or repaired units, and torches shall be warranted for the balance of time remaining from the date of the original purchase on all products. The warranty date shall not renew or start over once the unit is repaired, serviced or replaced. All warranty periods except consumables shall commence with the date of original retail purchase. Consumables shall be considered for replacement or adjustment only at the time of receipt. Consumables should be inspected, and issues addressed within 7 days of customer receipt.
30 day Money-Back Guarantee
Customers may return the products within 30 days of receipt for a full refund provided it is in “as new” condition, and in all the original packaging. If the product does not conform to the published specifications Everlast Welders NZ covers all freight. If the customer has just changed their mind, freight both ways is deducted from the refund.
The refund will be processed once the product has been received by Everlast Welders NZ and the condition of the product/s assessed.
Warranty Registration:
No registration by the customer is required for this warranty to apply.
Customers are urged to retain the Test Certificate and proof of purchase (invoice) provided with the machine/s.
Customers are required to keep original packaging/box provided with the machine.
